Textured Cladding Fortex
Textured cladding Fortex is cladding manufactured by Free Foam. The 300mm ‘Double Plank’ cladding products have a textured finish, so that you have the benefit of low maintenance uPVC with an authentic look and feel of real timber.
The product is co-extruded enabling it to be covered with a layer of PVC which is resistant to UV rays and discolouration. The 300mm ‘Double Plank’ has the same textured finish and is designed to replicate traditional rough sawn timber feather cladding.
This product comes with a 30 year guarantee. We can supply a range of colours including White, Storm, Grey, Pale Gold, Sand, Argyll, Brown, light Blue, and Colonial Blue.
This cladding can be fitted using different installation methods such as ‘Firmer Wrap’ or ‘King Span’ and also comes in different thicknesses, 25mm and 50mm. The thickness of the insulation is all dependent on the amount of heat loss through the walls of your park home.
Transforming park homes across the UK
Here you can see a 20 year old home which has had a total exterior refurbishment. This work consisted of removing the timber external panels, and insulating the wall with a choice of 25mm, 50mm or 75mm thick insulation. We then re-clad with marine ply wood which then receives primer, sealant and texture.
We also fit a beveled timber drip rail at the bottom of the cladding. Moisture simply drips to the ground and not back under the cladding, avoiding damp, rot and other problems.
Finally, we fitted uPVC windows, doors and a Decra tiled roof system with gable ends and peaks. This product comes with a great choice of fascias, soffits and guttering.
